Mr. Rowland Chen (Letters, June 2, 2023) suggests that AI procedures cannot come up with creative solutions to problems because the information that which we already know.
I disagree. One of the techniques used to develop creative solutions is to examine the situation through two frames of reference simultaneously. In the conjunction of these two perspectives, innovative solutions are to be found.
